Questions about (molecular ) hydrogen
« on: January 24, 2009, 04:42:33 PM »
I've been solving tasks but some of them I dont know, can you help me.

1. Using Chemical equations show electrolysis of water in alkaline solution

2. Finish chemical equation showing the reaction of hydrogen with
a) chlorine
b) Calcium
c) nitrogen
d) tungsten(VI) oxide
e) lithium

In which reaction is hydrogen reduction means.

3. In some periodic tables hydrogen is located in the 1st or 17st group. What are the reasons that hydrogen is in the 1st or 17. group ?

4. What is he cause of weak reactivity of molecular hydrogen?

Thanks for help. Sorry if I translated this badly.

Hey dado, you gotta show some attempts first or even googling and we will definitely help you out.

Some hints to start you off

1) What ion is present in high concentration in alkaline solution?

3) What is the characteristics of group 1 and 17

4) molecular hydrogen
No matters what results are waiting for us, it's nothing but the DESTINY!!!!!!!!!!!!
