Hi, I'm trying to find the micro chemical analysis (trace contaminates)
for
Calcium Carbonate, powder, Technical
versus
Cakcium Carbonate, powder, Light


CaCO^3 "Technical" grade that I just got has a weird smell to it and I'm wondering if the calcium is not pure enough and already has toxic contamintes like murcury/lead/pcb's which would make it un-suitable for human consumption.

Yes, I'm betting technical grade powder is likely contaminated with toxic substances.  If you're compounding (that is mixing something) for human consumption, then you'll USP grade, or food grade.  Failing that, you'll have to look at the label, or ask the vendor, what possible contaminates they've assayed this lot of powder for.
