Q. about birch reduction of benzene

hello every body :)

i just asked to explain different birch product of two comp.

but i did not get a clear answer

so please i wanna a help or a hint to deal with it

but i wanna to ask about the reason of the formation 1,4 diene but not 1,3 diene

1,3 diene can still be formed but majority will be 1,4. After the anion radical is formed, there are 2 resonance form that can lead to 1,4 diene and only 1 way for 1,3 diene.
