Problem on Alkalinity
« on: February 02, 2009, 11:13:35 AM »
Just now, one of my friends forwarded a file about Alkalinity to me
http://www.geology.wmich.edu/fhydro/HFC%20Docs/Alkalinity%20Method%208203.pdf
Inside the file, in table 3, row 3
The relation of alkalinity was stated there, but I want to know how to come up with this conclusion.

Thanks

I got these from my experiment:
Phenolphthalein alkalinity of water sample = 276.097 mg CaCO3/L
Total alkalinity of water sample = 644.092 mg CaCO3/L
