I have two questions about layered dichalcogenides.
1. Does anyone have an idea of how ionic the bonds are in the sulfides? I have read that the oxides are more ionic than the sulfides, but are the sulfides still considerably more ionic than graphite?
2. Has anyone heard of dichalcogenides with turbostatic (disordered) stacking? This is known in graphite, someone told me it has happened in layered dichalcogenides also, but I haven't been able to find anything about it.
Any references would be great. Thanks for any help,
Vinny
