Not likely.  Unless, you add a large enough seed crystal, to a supersaturated solution, and the excess crystallizes out.  Then, you may get a rise in temperature or it may drop, depending on the solute.  I don't know what iodine does, but since only a small amount dissolves in water anyway, you may not notice.
