Well i would like to ask is there any correlation between calculated logP or P and solvent which i could use for extraction from some solid material (say plant). Since the partitioning coefficient is a measure of partitioning of a compound between n-octanol and water...i believe that it could be also percieved as a measure of lipophilicity...and that would guide me to choose a solvent for extraction, would it?
