Definition of a Salt

What exactly is the definition of a salt? I want to make a collection of salt crystals and I'm not sure what the definition is.

Anything that has an ionic bond is loosely called a salt. Na+Cl- as a typical example.

A salt is formed when a proton of a bronsted acid is replaced by a cation.
