A very general question for you guys!

If I don't get my product precipitated after reacting A and B (A in water and B in water), what can I do
to get the product out of it?

Much would depend on the actual chemistry you're doing.

For instance, are you sure you have formed your product? Maybe it'll crash out on change of pH, or concentration, or .?

Extraction? Distillation? Depends on the chemistry of the system.
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex

I am not 100% sure if the desired product was formed or not...but from TLC, it's certain something happened.
After reacting those two for 1 hour and confirming with TLC that something did occur, I tried to remove the water by heating up in an oil bath. It seems my product is very very hydroscopic and complete water removal seems impossible.

Any advice?

My starting product is a glycine (amino acid) and cyanamide.

Thank you.

Under the conditions you propose, it is possible that your product is ionic (possibly the carboxylate).  Acidifying your product could make it precipitate.
