titration of a weak base with a strong acid....
« on: April 14, 2009, 11:26:51 AM »
Ok so i dont know where to start, here is the problem

The Kb of a weak base B is 2.5 x 10^-5. In a beaker there is a solution of 25.00 ml 0.100 M B, and in a buret there is 0.0500 M HCl. Calculate the missing pH values in the fiollowing table.

ml 0.0500 M NaOH                        pH
0.00
10.00
20.00
25.00
30.00                                         8.22
40.00                                         7.80
49.00
50.00
51.00                                         3.18
55.00                                         2.51
60.00

Okay so i understand that the pH will be lowered, but i just dont know where to start. Can someone do 0.00 and 10.00 so i can understand how im supposed to calculate the pH and do the rest myself. Thank you.
