Dissociation Equations

Okay so I'm really lost...this is the dissociation problem for silver chloride:
so I have :
AgCl (s) ...what do i do next? How do i know the charges of the ag and cl?

Cl in all chlorides has always the same charge.

For Cl, it's position in the periodic table will do nicely. For Ag, yeah, that is a little tougher, by itself. But you've been given the compound it forms, so you know it's charge must balance the Cl.

Chloride is always -1 and since AgCl is neutral Ag must be....?
