MO describing bonding in Diborane- B2H6
« on: May 08, 2009, 07:11:52 AM »
I am getting pretty confused here my professor told em that in diborane one pair of electrons are in bonding, one in anti, and one in non-bonding, is that correct? Wouldn't that mean that the molecule does not exist? Which six electrons are being spoken about? Thanks again- I tried clarifying with my professor but can't follow his reasoning.
