Bi cyclic compound bridges
« on: May 09, 2009, 02:28:48 PM »
My spring organic chem course recently covered nomenclature for bi cyclic compounds and for the life of me I do not understand where these "bridges" occur and how to count them.

7,7-dimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptane

how is this one heptane?

sorry, everything else is fine, idk why i'm stumped on these
thank you though

Knowing why you got a question wrong is better than knowing that you got a question right.
