Esterases, by definition usually act on esters. Do you mean specific cleavage of urethanes (in the presence of what?), or specific cleavage of *a* urethane?

Hi,

thx for your answer,
i meant specific in cleaving urethane bonds only ( I've got a protein which is modified with a chemical linker - this linker bears an urethane bond- now i'm looking for an enzyme which can cleave this bond(s) ).
