Hello
I know how to calculate the pH of solutions, any kind, when it deals with protons, but I'm stumped by this scenario. I need to find the pH of a 0.055 M solution of AlCl3. I know it is acidic because of the Al 3+ ion, and I'm guessing this has to do with Lewis acids and bases, but I just can't figure it out! If you could just give me the equation at equilibrium, that alone would help and I could do the rest.
Thanks, I really appreciate it!
