Raise the pH of a solution
« on: July 06, 2012, 12:04:56 AM »
Hi all. I am getting some conflicting information on how to adjust the pH of a solution. I have 5 liters of distilled H20. I would like to raise the pH to 8.5. I have a few options. I can use sodium carbonate, sodium hydroxide, or potassium hydroxide. I keep getting different results depending on how I calculate it.
