« on: May 09, 2009, 01:49:46 PM »
just want to ask when we consider how to collect a sample.
we sometimes have a cone and quartering technique which can be used.
1.Yet i cannot find any notes or information @ yahoo.
Can anyone help?
2.Moreover, when we take some sample to analysis. what is the tolerable standard deviation about?

What type of sample are you trying to collect?

Is it solid, liquid, gel, paste, slurry or gas.

What size of sample?

what amount of "bulk" are you trying to collect the sample from.

All of these will affect the type of technique you employ.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
