reaction calculator for organic synthesis (web-based)
« on: September 15, 2008, 02:12:55 PM »
Hi chemists (especially people doing synthesis),
let me introduce a calculator.
Since 2006, I started to make it as a chemist for easier life working in the lab. ;D
Its name is 'Javascript reaction calculator for organic synthesis' - I hate this long name.
For a long time I and my colleagues have used and tested the calculator. We think it works fine.
The calculator is web-based one, so you can use it wherever you can access internet.
Some browsers (i.e. seamonkey) it doesn't work perfectly.

I hope the calculator is useful for you, and your feed-back is always welcome.
Please use links below and find instruction on  the help page.

Nice idea, but doesn't seem to work in Firefox, unless I'm being incredibly dense.

Also, perhaps see http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fchemist.hosting.paran.com%2Forgchem%2F ?

Sorry for my late answer.  By the way as far as I've tested in firefox 3.5 on windows and Mac OS X, in both cases there was no problem.
Besides I polished HTML tags, so validation at the moment is passed.

Thanks for your feed-back sjb.
At which part "doesn't validate" you mean?
I attached the validation of mark-up languages.

If you are talking about the calculator, would you tell me your browser and OS?
My colleagues are using it for a quite long time with firefox without any problem.

Yes, that's what I mean. Didn't seem to like it yesterday on posting, sorry for the possible false negative
