Why not?!
Nitrogen can also form pentavalnet compound for example N2O5 or HNO3 many salts and so on...

Does pentavalent mean that element has valence 5 ...Or I was thinking about wrong term :S

In that context it means the sum of bonding and non-bonding pairs in an element.
