Equations Nitrates and Acid
« on: August 22, 2009, 01:32:06 PM »
Ca (NO3)2 (aq) + H2SO4 (aq) = CaSO4 (s) + HNO3 (aq)

Does this make sense?
Whats the rules when dealing with salts and acids?

This is more about solubility rules.

Yes, it makes sense.

If you balanced the equation it might help. :)
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex

Yhea it should be:

Ca (NO3)2 (aq) + H2SO4 (aq) = CaSO4 (s) + 2HNO3 (aq)
