Hello

I know the explanation of why water can be bend with a charged stick (water is polar).

I have tryed to use a small magnet to bend the water as well, but nothing happened.

Is it just because the magnet i have used is too weak? Or is there another explanation?

Can someone help me out here.

Thx for reading

Yeah, the magnet is too weak. Even a small amount of static electrical charge built up on the stick is much much stronger than the magnetic effect from a simple bar magnet and so the water will move more readily from the electrical stick.
