Dear All,
Is it a generic case that when a chemical solid (or may be other form) is heated, at first it will liquid and then vaporise and thereafter its chemical destruction takes place. Yeah i aware that there cases of sublimation, but what about water.
My interest is in the fact that what happens when CaCO3 is heated. First it will be calcined and then CaO will melt at high temp.
or the other way.
Rgds,
