Naming Compounds (work check)
« on: September 19, 2009, 06:06:45 PM »
Hi,

I have to write the names of the following ionic compounds. There's one I'm totally unsure about and a few I'm looking to see if I have this down correctly.

1. FeCO3 - Iron (II) Carbonate
2. MnBr2 - Manganese (II) Bromide
3. AgClO4 - ?
4. CoSO3 - Cobalt Sulfite
5. Na2O - Sodium Oxide

Are these correct? How can I go about naming #3?

Thanks for reading.

For number three...

ClO4 is a group of atoms called perchlorate ion.

That should help with naming. ;)
The post below this one is a lie.

Thus it becomes "Silver perchlorate", correct?
