Predicting the outcome of a series of reactions.

Hi!  :)

Given the following reactions I am asked to predict the outcome, basically write out the equation and provide the state of the compounds formed. I'm having a bit of trouble with certain compounds (specifically the second series of sodium hydroxides). Here is my work:



1. Na2CO3(aq) + H2SO4(aq) -> Na2SO4(aq) + CO2(g) + H2O

2. Na2SO3(aq) + H2SO4(aq) -> Na2SO4(aq) + SO2(g) + H2O(l)

3. NH4Cl(aq) + H2SO4(aq) -> UNSURE

And then the same thing only with NaOH....


1. Na2CO3(aq) + NaOH(aq) --> UNSURE
2. NaSO3(aq) + NaOH(aq) --> UNSURE
3. NH4Cl(aq) + NaOH(aq) --> UNSURE

Any assistance anyone can provide me with in regards to this topic, will be more then appreciated. Thank you very much for reading. :)

1. Na2CO3(aq) + NaOH(aq) --> UNSURE

NH4Cl(aq) + NaOH(aq) --> UNSURE
Ammonia is a weak base, NaOH is the strong base. What happens?

In regards to this last question, my hypothesis is:

NH4Cl(aq) + NaOH(aq) --> NaCl(s) + NH4OH(aq) which will further decompose into NH3(g)+H2O(l)+NaCl(aq). Is this correct?
