Synthesis of 5-iodacetylsalicylic acid from salicylic acid

Alright so the assignment is to do this in lab we start with salicylic acid

I have successfully created acetylsalicylic acid (asprin) which is my attempt at the experiment will someone help me where to go from here.  I mean i know im going to have to add some sort of iodine but will somebody help me with what i have to heat and dissolve it into and filter?

A good place to start looking for some experimental detail would be SciFinder Scholar.  You could also try searching through J. Chem. Ed., there are normally some types standard lab experiments detailed there.
