Hey guys,
I'm a second year chem major. i'm trying to set up a home chemistry lab with my dad (who did chem at uni but works in physics now).
We have had success with a couple of simple experiments (did exp on stoichiometry of tetra-amminecopper(II) complex and caffeine extraction from tea and coke so far) but are wasting a lot of time because we can't work out how to fit water tubes (from a reflux condenser) to an ordinary tap. We have three taps in our shred/lab which each have slightly different nozzles. Does anyone know if u can buy adaptors that fit all tap sizes and would allow us to put water into the reflux condenser tubes?
This sounds like a stupid question but we just can't work out how to fix the problem!
Thanks a lot for any advice!
