Hi
Q. Write ionic equations for the reactions which occur when the following bases dissolve in water.
i) sodium hydroxide (strong base)
ii) Ammonia (weak base)
iii) Calcium hydroxide (strong base)
iv)hydrazine (weak base)
I have attempted (ii)
NH3+(aq) + H2O(l) --> NH4+ + OH-
I know that for weak bases you include reversible arrows i.e. double arrows to represent a reverse reaction seeing they only partially dissociate or ioinize to produce OH- ions
Help is greatley appreciated
Thank you
