reaction of THAM + HCl

1.) What are the products of this reaction?

THAM + HCl  -->

(HOCH2)3-C-NH2  + HCl  -->  


I think THAM would be (HOCH2)3-C-NH3+  and  HCl would be Cl-

but then, what would happen to H+  in (HOCH2)3  ?



2.) In the reaction of KHP + NaOH, KHP would lose H+ and K+  
   How could it happen?  (I really don't know how it could be like that)

THAM is a base containing only one basic group, hence
THAM + HCl = (HOCH2)3-C-NH3+ (aq) + Cl-(aq)
is the only reaction in water solution

KHP (potassium hydrogen phtalate) ia a monoprotic acid salt
