I need some tutoring, I have a test tomorrow and I just got out of a session with a school provided tutor and still have NO idea what I am doing. I am willing to pay, possibly $100, because I would like some time devoted to show me how to do these general problems so hopefully I can apply the methods to the test. There are three general problems which will be covered including combustion reactions, acid reactions and computing molarity, and general balancing equations. One of the example problems is:
The reaction that occurs in many batteries. MnO2 + 4HCl -> MnCl2 +Cl2 +2H2O
If .86 moles of MnO2 and 2.8 mol HCl what is the max theoretical yield of MnCl2. What is the % yield if 65g of MnCl2 is produced?
Another example is:
A hydrochloric acid solution is made by dissolving 7.3g of Hydrogen Chloride gas in 4.5L of water.
Find molar concentration and find pH.
Find Volume required to neutralize 750mL of a 0.050M NaOH.
And one more:
H2S+O2 -> S+H2O Which is oxidized, reduced, oxidizing agent, reducing agent?
I believe this one is balanced wrong or written incorrectly myself.
Thanks for any insight.
