I'm looking to remove a variety of paint and other crud from some mild steel and I don't want to use paint stripper for a variety of reasons.
Alkaline hydrocarbon solution has been suggested to be worth a go but what other name does it go under and where can I get it from?

Any help or further technical info on this product would be greatly appreciated.
