Chirality at the metal-center
« on: November 17, 2009, 11:22:36 PM »
I am currently researching into a proposal I am writing about introducing chirality into a system using a chirality at the metal-center of a transition metal catalyst.  I know there has been work on this topic but am having trouble remembering who has done this work.  Scifinder is giving me a lot of inorganic papers but not really what I am looking for.  I hope to use these transition metals to introduce quaternary centers where bulky, chiral ligands would fail.  Does anybody have any clues as to who has looked into this?  Hoveyda?

Thank you

R. Grubbs, Hoveyda, R. Schrock, T.L. Choi, A.K. Chatterjee, T. Nguyen etc. have published lot of articles on metal centered organic catalysts for the metathesis reaction. They might have some research data that coincides with your interest.

There are many, many examples of this from dozens of different research groups.  You will have to be a bit more specific about what you are looking for.

Grubbs has done some enantioselective olefin metathesis chemistry, but it would not be the first place I would look!
