Am i right to assume that the dilution is x 6? Or is it x 5? The wording is troubling me.

Strange, as I read it - 6 mL. "Dilute with 5 mL" means for me "add 5 mL", plus initial 1 mL that makes 6 mL. But English is not my first language, so I can be wrong.

Dilute with 5 ml would mean 5 ml added to me as well (UK English). Dilute to 5 ml would mean a total volume of 5 ml.

Thanks guys. Some of my classmates have a x6 dilution but i was in doubt. I think you guys are right, as it says 1ml was diluted by 5ml...
