Hello
I have this exercise that asks me to check if this proposition is true or false: "Propylhexedrine can dissolve (solubilize) in an aqueous acidic solution."
The answer is "true", but I'm unsure as to why it is true.
I know that amines (specially secundary ones) can react with acids, so perhaps this is why it is true, right? But the "dissolve" part gets me. Can I say that every acid-base reaction is a base dissolving in an acid or vice-versa? Does it make a true solution?
Can I say that, if there is a reaction, then there can be a dissolution?
Were it not for the verb "dissolve", I wouldn't hesitate to answer "true".
