How to retro-synthesis of Tremorine?
« on: November 29, 2009, 07:05:01 PM »
Can anyone please help me to retro-synthesis the Tremorine compound. This is one of my compounds that i need to work backward for my final project.

Instruction:  Make this compound from starting materials containing 2 carbons or fewer. you may need to look up some amine reactions to make the rings.

Thank you so much...

You should show that you have at least attempted the question. Did you look up any amine reactions to make the rings?

I tried to use 2-methylbutane reacts with Pt/catalyst to form the ring but dont if that's the right approach.
