Electroactive material
« on: December 15, 2009, 11:13:25 AM »
Forgive me if this is the wrong section.  Is there a way to make a Electroactive material at home?  What I am looking for is something that acts like a muscle. The material contracts with electricity is applied to it.  Any ideas? I have searched the forum and could not find anything on this.

What you're looking for is piezoelectric materials http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piezoelectric.

Maybe you can buy some of those materials in your local DIY shop.
