I wonder how Chlorine gas reacts with ethane or higher alkanes after the first substitution which hydrogen atom does it favor? May you give me a couple of examples ?

41,6 g Oxygen gas is required for the combustion of 11,6 g of alkane. Find the formula of the alkane.

How do you name Mg(OH)Cl and compounds like that? Thanks in advance for the responses. Great Forum BTW.
