Choosing between Thermos's ICAP and Perkin-Elmer's
« on: November 04, 2009, 07:12:39 PM »
We are in the process of purchasing a dual view simultaneous ICP. We
have to make a choice between Thermo Scientific's ICP 6300 Duo System
or the Perkin Elmer Optima-7300 DV. We would like to get some
opinions.
Thanks for your time,

Hello,

I'm in the same position you are.  We have had PE ICPs for years now.  One major difference for us going to the iCAP is using IEC instead of MSF for interference correction.  A collegue of mine that is familiar with IEC said adjustments may be required everyday.  Also, the iCAP resolution is slightly lower than the PE 5300, but I'm not sure if we would see any difference.
