Hello to all ,
Am new to this forum.
CD's and DVD's are made up of poycarbonate plastic discs with Al on them and also certain dyes to hold data.
DVD's have two layers of polycarbonate and a metallica layer sandwiched between them.
Any opinion about how we can recycle CD's and DVD's.
CD / DVD exist a lot , but seemingly there is not much recycling happening.
Also would it viable to use HNO3 or Ethanol for mass recycling millions of cds.
It still seems a new subject
The polycarbonate obtained can be re used.

1.History of recycling CD process
2.Scope - Current
3.Commercial viability
4.Actual process that would be most effective to recover polycarbonate - cheap and safe.
