Production of Methanol from wood
« on: January 27, 2010, 11:42:31 PM »
I bought PiHKAL and TiHKAL, and most of the synthesis procedures call for Ethanol, Methanol, and Ethyl Ether. They're kind of expensive and I figure I can save money but just making them myself. I can make Ethanol and then of course Ethyl Ether, but I can't quite figure out how to get Methanol because all of the information isn't about production from wood. If anyone knows how to produce methanol from wood, your help would be greatly obliged.
