Hi, I would like to know what is the right chemical reaction if I would like to get sodium benzoate from ethyl benzoate...Anyone?  ::)Reaction takes place in a batch reactor.

Why do you want to maek sodium benzoate from ethyl benzoate?

The main way to make ethyl benxoate, reacts ethanol + benzoic acid.

The main way to make sodium benzoate, react benzoic acid with sodium hydroxide

sodium hydroxide probably will work
