Hello,
I seek a general discussion regarding the pyrophoricity of various organometallic fluids when brought into contact with nitrous oxide, either liquid or gas phase. I think finding a combination that will ignite may only be answered experimentally, given the rather high bond energies of the nitrous molecule, but there might be an empirically derived numerical method for predicting the N2O decomposition and subsequent combustion. Experimentally, neat triethylaluminum fails to ignite.
Thanks, y'all
