What chemical methods are available to amplify and repel back kinetic (sound), electrical and magnetic energy. More specifically, if I have a piece of glass, what chemicals are best in coating this surface to first amplify and then repel back the energy forms? I know the general items available today, but to make the question more difficult the items must have been available between 1850 and 1900.
