question about Stoichiometry
« on: February 27, 2010, 08:04:05 AM »
Does the stoichiometry of a product of a chemical reaction depend upon the amounts of reactant available to form the product?

I am confused with that and I also couldn't understand what the question expects to be an answer.

I think precise answer to the question depends on what do you mean by "stoichiometry". But if it means ratio of moles or masses of products - then no.

In this question stoichiometry means the calculation of chemical charges between reactants and products. You said no. Why?

No idea what you mean. What is "chemical charge between reactants and products"?  :o

You said no. Why?

Because ratios of moles or masses don't depend on amount of reactants.
