Why is my AlCl3 green?
«

I made some AlCl3 for some friedel crafts.
This time it came out the color and texture of phlegm.
It is still in hydrated form, but my other solutions have been yellow or clear before dehydration.
What the heck happened?

My guess would be that you have some FeCl3 in there.
