Isoamyl acetate
« on: March 22, 2010, 03:05:29 PM »
I have recently synthesised isomayl acetate under vacuum (51.60mm Hg). However isoamyl acetate normally boils at +-140 degrees Celcius, but under vacuum it is significantly less, about 64 degrees celcius. My question is what is the theoretical temprature at this pressure(51.60mm Hg), 64 degrees Celcius was my recorded reading. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I  have to hand this in tomorrow, the 23rd March 2010. Thanks
