«

I am given a question that says, "What is the mass of 48 dm^3 of oxygen at r.t.p?"
Can someone explain to me how to arrived at the answer? I am a bit confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard_conditions_for_temperature_and_pressure
Use the ideal gas equation to find the amount of oxygen, and then convert to mass.

Usually either 20 or 25 deg C. It is about as exact as STP is.

24 dm
3
is not a temperature, just like 17 K is not a distance.
