The Reaction Between Carbon Double Bond and Lithium Salt
« on: April 29, 2010, 01:13:55 PM »
Hi,

Can anyone help to explain the mechanism of carbon double bond (C=C) react with lithium (Li+) ? Can i assume it is some reaction like Ag+ react with olefin? Thanks

Are double bonds electron rich or electron poor? What about the lithium ion?

Dear Sir,

I think the C=C is always rich in electron in their sigma-bonding and lithium ion is a positive ion...
