Do you know what the mass of 1 mole of ethane is?

Hint : Molecular mass is expressed in g mol-1

We have:
n(C2H6) = 0.06 mol
We need to find:
m(C2H6) - ?
Solution:
M(C2H6) = 2 x 12 + 6 x 1 = 24 + 6 = 30 g/mol (to count this use the periodical table)
m = M(C2H6) x n(C2H6) = 30 g/mol x 0.06 mol = 1.8 g

Personally, I'd have said 42 was the answer.

I'd also suggest that the OP read the forum rules. he/she's lucky Evaldas turned up to spoon feed the answer thus saving all that tiresome learning
