characterization of 2-naftol
« on: May 14, 2010, 10:23:01 PM »
Hello everybody.
I´m from Brazil, and i need characterize the compound 2-naftol with phisical and chemichal tests.
I tried to search on internet, but i don´t find nothing interesting.
Can someone on this forum tell me a good website or a chemical test to characterize exclusively the 2-naftol?
Sorry my poor english. Since then, thanks.

Go to library - you know, large room, shelves, books - and look for chemical handbooks, they contain tables of physicochemical data,
ChemBuddy chemical calculators - stoichiometry, pH, concentration, buffer preparation, titrations.info

No other handbooks? With things like melting point?

Google for International Critical Data Tables, they should be downloadable either as a torrent or from Knovel site (if they are still served from there), I guess you will find some data there. Be warned - it is several large toms with tons of stuff.
