I'm a bit confused by what I feel is a rather ambiguous assignment involving our enthalpy unit.
I'm given pyridine to work with (C5H5N). I really can't figure out where to go from here.
The question states
Write the chemical equation for the formation of pyridine from atoms in the gaseous state, the starting point for all substances in the delta H standard state atom combination table.
My assumption is to answer with 5C + 5N + H yields C5H5N. However, I'm not sure where the table ties into this particularly since the atom combination for C is 0 and with hydrogen and nitrogen being diatomic I don't see them on the table.
After that I have to do the exact same thing using the fusion table.
Any ideas?
